During a very busy summer works period for EBS undertook some alterations to the steam ring main in G North and South Plant Rooms on the Mezzanine and 3rd floor levels. The works were in essence, to provide double block and bleed isolation at either end of each 8 bar plant room header, a secondary bypass to serve the steam supply for hot water services, new lagging and new condense fittings. All works were undertaken in the required timeframes with the primary objectives of the works are to introduce double block and bleed isolation sets to the specified steam headers to facilitate safe operation, replacement and maintenance to the branches from the header.
